Anyway.. Last night was a massive, massive result and we can very realistically win our next 3 fixtures.

.............Plus we could be the first team this season to beat Chelsea......

You never know!

I think Jenks is a whole lot better than Demel.... the full backs have been major factors in the way it has gone so far this season

Deano

I am not sold on Jenkinson.

Out of every 5 crosses only 1 will beat the first man. He's okay, no better than Demel imo.

We were missing key players last night and the players are really digging in. I think there is a lot more to come from Valencia and Kayoute yet as well.

We’re going to win the cup this year.

Kouyate is a good player, but he strikes me as a bit lazy.
I made the same observation about Valencia when he came on too.

Can';t speak for last night as I wasn't there but generally I don't think I could disagree any more, they both work their arses off chasing lost causes, tracking people back etc

WOULD HAVE BEEN THE SORT OF GAME WE WOULD HAVE LOST IN THE PAST

I don't get these 'without Song and Sakho' comments I keep seeing. Can we still not win games then if we have a couple of injuries? All clubs have them and some far worse than us. You just get on with it. We still have enough to beat the lower sides and so it proved. We have good players now to come in when we have injuries, that's the difference.

An excellent three points to go with Saturdays.
Totally unexpected after going one down.

Without Song and Sahko as well, the future is Claret and Blue.

Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
Played terrible in the first 15, as bad as anything. Rest of the half we played very well. Second half we really sat back and invited pressure - think the possession was something lie 70-30. I'm still not a huge fan of this Allardyce tactic, but it worked in the end and I'm over the moon with the season so far.

One thing though, Carl Jenkinson, I just don't really rate him that highly....his distribution seems to be very poor and he gets skinned time and time again by tricky wingers. What do others think of him?

Watching Kouyate on TV does not do him justice. He quite literally covers every square inch of the pitch. Why he is not plying his trade at the Etihad or the Bridge god only knows, just thank fuck he isn't

Won an away game in the prem with 15 minutes of decent football and average stuff for the other 75. Nothing sweeter than watching West Ham steal a cheeky 3 points

IRONS !!!

Just seen a re-run of the game on TV. Great to see everyone working for each other and excellent cohesion throughout the side - including some decent defending from AC. Maybe a little disappointing we didn't offer much of an attacking threat in the second half but another welcome 3 points at the end of it.

Best performances from what I saw were Kouyate and Nolan.

im not used to seeing us win games like Newcastle last week and especially last night, would have been a 3-1 battering in years gone by..

We are fielding average teams, with our best players missing, not playing well and keep winning....I don't know what to make if it lol

Didn't see the game. Chuffed with another 3 points, but why were we batttered by them in the second half? Aren't they pretty shit?
